Paxar’s new transfer labels for swimwear, lingerie, and other elastic apparel are not only attractive – they are also kind to the skin, ecologically sound, and colourfast as per ISO standards. For the first time, a transfer meets all of these demands at the same time without compromise.
Transfers in the new quality LT-Aqua Stretch from Paxar are virtually imperceptible against the skin and exceedingly elastic. They are an excellent alternative to traditional sew-in labels or woven labels in T-shirts, lingerie, and many other products with a high Lycra, Elastane or Spandex content. Not just comfortable our Aqua Stretch labels comply fully with the ecologically sound per Oeko-Tex Standard 100 classification. The material is also colourfast in both chlorinated and sea water, making it ideal for use in swimwear. The colourfastness is certified as per industry standards ISO 105 E02 and E03 1994.
The transfers are applied either in hot or cold peel technology. In the hot-peel process that uses temperatures between 130 and 160 degrees centigrade, the base material can be removed only twelve seconds after its application. The transfers can then be subjected to iron press treatments of up to 110 to 140 degrees. Where higher temperatures are required, it suffices to press the garment from the opposite side to protect the transfer. The new transfers withstand wash temperatures to 60 degrees, which is a definite improvement over the usual 40 degree maximum. The quality transfers also hold up easily to perchloroethylene dry cleaning. In addition to standard colours, the unlimited four-colour process is available. Paxar also delivers transfers in metallic or fluorescent colours. Reflective and breathable blotch print complement the product line.
